NCCTI Celebrates Medical Assistants Week

Students in the Medical Assistant Clinical (MAC) program received pins during the NCCTI Medical Assistants Week celebration.

New Community Career & Technical Institute (NCCTI) celebrated Medical Assistants Week on Oct. 18 with a pinning ceremony for students in the school’s Medical Assistant Clinical (MAC) and Patient Care Technician (PCT) programs.

NCCTI Success Coach Odette Phillip kicked off the ceremony with a welcome and Career Services Coordinator Chanda Webb read a poem expressing the importance of medical professionals in patients’ lives. Each student received a pin of a stethoscope that was placed on their uniforms by an NCCTI staff member. NCCTI Director Dr. Sylvia McCray addressed the students, explaining the importance of the field they are pursuing and thanking them for their hard work.
