New Community Career & Technical Institute (NCCTI) is now enrolling students for its next Construction Training Program, with classes beginning in November.
This structured, hands-on program prepares individuals for entry-level careers in the construction and building maintenance trades. No prior experience is required. Students receive foundational instruction in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, blueprint reading, jobsite safety and professional practices while gaining the practical skills employers are looking for.
The 900-hour program is held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at NCCTI in Newark. Graduates may pursue career opportunities such as Carpenter Helper, Electrician Helper, Plumber Helper, Maintenance Technician and other building maintenance roles.
The program is supported through grant funding, and eligible applicants may qualify for little to no out-of-pocket cost. Applicants will be guided through the admissions and eligibility process, including an information session.
