New Community Career & Technical Institute (NCCTI) students attended a Credit Workshop on Oct. 23 at Monsignor Linder Plaza, 233 West Market St., Newark. Shamir Gonzalez, Community Development Officer for Columbia Bank, led the workshop, which included information about credit, how to improve and maintain credit and how to read credit card and bank statements. Interim NCCTI Director Frances Teabout also spoke to the students about utilizing the New Community Federal Credit Union, which is located in the same building as the school’s main campus.
